Response to proposed lads’ mags ban by Harry Farnsworth

Liberal what?

I cannot actually read the student paper anymore, not because it is badly written or anything like that, it just makes me too angry. I can’t believe what is happening to this uni it is bloody liberal madness!I got to page 5 of this week’s paper and could read no more.

With plans to ban Israeli products, make gender-natural loos to make campus more tran inclusive. Also banning lads magazines and charity calendars, I mean it is getting ridiculous, if this union keeps trying to cater to the needs of everyone we will lose the freedoms we enjoy, there will be nothing left apart from a group of snizzeling idiots handing out hard hats in the entrance and telling everyone that we can’t talk because you may offend someone somewhere.

It’s a joke, I don’t mean this as a reflection on the paper, I think the student paper is excellent and I read it every week, but I would watch out, they are probably going to ask you to stop writing articles on sports because sports are oppressive and selective, meaning not everyone can play or don’t put pictures of dogs in because it may offend people who believe that keeping pets is cruelty to animals.
