Preview: LSR’s S.O.S Festival
All profits go to the Leeds Community Fund, a pool of money given to various small local charities that have an annual income below £150,000. Recently, the fund benefitted from a huge donation of over £17,000 by RAG’s library fine initiative and this weekend the team behind S.O.S. hope to continue their good work, raising hundreds of pounds for loads of good causes.
Some of the music highlights include Cosmo Jarvis and Arthur Rigby & The Baskervylles, The afterparty, which continues until the early hours, features DJ giant Maxi Jazz from Faithless as well as a selection of Leeds Student Radio’s DJ’s
The Leeds Tealights will also be there along with several other local stand up acts.
All this is topped off with a selection of local stalls, Mr Scruff’s Teashop and a busker’s corner where anyone is able to come along and play.
