Question Time comes to Leeds Uni
It’s hosted the likes of James Brown, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd and now Leeds University Union’s Refectory is about to get a new claim to fame this Thursday night when BBC show ‘Question Time’ comes to town.
And it’s an all-star panel too with newly-elected Bradford MP (and Big Brother star) George Galloway, Conservative Co-Chairman Sayeeda Warsi, top Lib Dem Tim Farron and newspaper columnist David Aaronovitch all making an appearance.
Roughly 2.5m people are expected to tune-in to the politics programme which will be making its first trip to Leeds in over three years when it was last filmed at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 2009.
As usual, Leeds Student will be live from the heart of the action and will be also be hoping to interview George Galloway MP after the programme to discuss his plans to bring the Respect Party to Leeds.
Make sure you use the hashtag #bbcqt to join our live blog throughout the night if you spot anything interesting.

For all catered students: The Refectory is likely to be out of action between 4.30-5.30pm but will re-open for a takeaway service from 5.30-6.30pm.
