400 excited Rugby fans packed the sidelines of Weetwood Playing Fields this morning to watch the England Rugby Union team train and Leeds Student’s Sports Editors were there to capture all the action.

The squad were training in Yorkshire because of coach Stewart Lancaster’s strong links to Leeds University Rugby and local team Leeds Carnegie.
Before the training began Rob Wadsworth, Head of University Sport, said he was delighted to host the England team, adding that today represented an acknowledgement of how much university sport had improved.
The team, which included one current and one former Leeds student, warmed up, practiced line-outs, signed autographs for crowd, and obviously made a good impression…

While posing for photos for fans England second row, Tom Palmer said “the training session was good but tough.”
