Feature: Ambassadeurs

Every now and again you come across a piece of music that for a good month you need to listen to it on a daily basis simply because of the enlightened mood that it guarantees to put you in. This month Brighton based producer Ambassadeurs (real name Mark Dobson) had provided me with this sense of euphoria with his summery, side-chained, soulful ‘M.O.P.E’.

For anyone enjoying the somewhat newly emerging genre of chill wave this song really does take the biscuit. It’s easy to liken it to the sounds of Gold Panda, Baths or Star Slinger but ‘M.O.P.E’  is truly a next level production in its own right. Taking influences from hip-hop, EDM, soul and dub this man really is using side-chain kick drums to literally push the boundaries of euphoric electronica.
