Call lane hotspot launches new summer menu

REVIEW

Student favourite Jake’s Bar and Grill has launched a new cocktail menu and is once again serving authentic American-inspired cuisine.

The bar’s perfectly named Mr Jake Burger returned to host the launch night.

Previously, Jake’s may not have been your first thought for food but with the new menu it’s a must. It’s great for meat lovers with BBQ specials including plates of pulled pork, burnt ends and racks of ribs. There’s burgers galore and sharing platters for under a tenner. And a wealth of small plates and sides for a snack. Portions are very generous, just as the Americans like it!

If you’re on a budget then look out for the new ‘Pig out for a fiver’ logo next to certain dishes. The selection changes every night so you can try everything on offer.

Jake’s has always been number one for cocktails and it retains it’s title with the new menu themed around the ages. The 80s inspired pinocolada, a favourite of Jake himself, is now acceptable for all types of drinker. Another tasty, but deadline option is the champagne mojito from the future section of the menu.

So, with all this on offer, it’s worth heading to Jakes earlier on in your night out and sampling the new menus for yourself.
