Are we singing X Factor’s praises or are we strictly dancing over to BBC1?

Cheryl Cole. Need we say more? It’s pretty obvious that she has more style and dancing ability than any of the Strictly judges (Arlene Phillips anyone?) But seriously this programme does indeed have the X factor, from the beginning we can see the delusional ‘talented hopefuls’ humiliated by Simon Cowell for our viewing pleasure as he sifts out all the freaks in an attempt to find some real singing capability.X factor

But seriously this programme does indeed have the X factor, from the beginning we can see the delusional ‘talented hopefuls’ humiliated by Simon Cowell for our viewing pleasure as he sifts out all the freaks in an attempt to find some real singing capability. Those successful at the auditions were then moved on last week to boot camp and even more dreams were dashed and fake sob stories were made up. But the best is yet to come as this week we get to see inside the judges homes, and I can’t wait to see what Cheryl’s is like. Obviously Danni Minogue’s frozen face and lack of any discernible talent herself does not work in the programme’s favour but I think the live shows over the next coming weeks will more than make up for that.

Strictly come dancing
Ok so the X factor judges may have the edge over the Strictly lot, but unlike them the celebrities in this show are the ones making fools of themselves on the dance floor. Last week saw poor Gillian Taylforth have to bear the humiliation of being the first woman to be thrown out, although 6ft 1in Jodie Kidd was also in the dance off. Also whilst X factor may be climaxing in the live shows, Strictly has amazing costumes all the way through and who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle? Then there’s BBC1′s secret ingredient which is the legend that is Brucie, who’d have guessed at 80 he’d still be dancing onto our screens on a Saturday night?! Well I for one am pleased that he is, and accompanied by the lovely Tess Daly they make great presenters. Strictly is good fun to watch while you’re getting ready to go out, just remember in the immortal words of Brucie; wherever you are …keep dancing!
